The impact Stace Provision has had on our 19-year-old has already been transformative. After attending a specialist high school and college, neither of which was successful, he had spent a great deal of time out of class and disengaged. We had reached the point where we believed he was situationally mute, having not spoken verbally to anyone outside the home for nearly a year. We never felt anyone was truly championing him or seeing his potential until he came to Stace Provision.
When we first visited, we explained that they should not expect verbal communication from him. Instead, he began talking almost immediately, perhaps because he finally felt understood and accepted. He has built strong, trusting relationships with staff and is engaging in meaningful learning linked to his interests. For the first time, he comes home and tells us what he has done and learned. Seeing this completely different young person emerge has been incredibly meaningful, and we could not be more grateful to Stace Provision for the care and support they have given him.
We've found Stace Provision to be a warm and nurturing environment. Amanda and Charlotte are incredibly friendly, enthusiastic and welcoming bringing a great sense of ease to drop offs, knowing my daughter is happy and in safe hands. The outside space is a real bonus, providing plenty of opportunity for a run around to release any nervous energy, have a good explore and play in a safe and inviting setting.
